Two new diterpene alkaloids, isosalviamine-A (1) and B (2) and nine known tanshinones (3-11) were isolated from the MeOH extract of roots of S. trijuga. The structures of these new compounds were elucidated from 1H and 13C NMR spectra with the aid of COSY, NOESY, HMQC and HMBC experiments. © 2006 The Japan Institute of Heterocyclic Chemistry.
