Abstract

A new trimeric monoterpenoid indole alkaloid, divaricamine A (1) consisting of a vobasine-vobasine-iboga type skeleton, was isolated from the root of Tabernaemontana divaricata. The structure including absolute stereochemistry was elucidated on the basis of 2D NMR data and CD spectrum. Divaricamine A (1) showed potent anti-malarial activity. © 2021 Elsevier Ltd
