Two new glycoalkaloids, manshurienine C (1) and 8-oxotetrahy-corydalmine-1-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (2), along with eleven known alkaloids (3-13), were isolated from the tubers of Stephania succifera. Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods, including NMR and MS spectra. Compounds 5, 6, 8, and 10 showed in vitro antibacterial activity against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).
