The separation of a new alkaloid from cranberries leaves was carried out by means of specific solvents and thin layer chromatography. The determination of its molecular structure was made possible by infrared, ultraviolet, nuclear magnetic resonance, mass spectra and the degradations. © 1971 Birkhäuser Verlag.
