From the unripe fruits of Aegle marmelos, a new alkaloid named marmeline was isolated and identified as N-2-hydroxy-2-[4-(3′,3′-dimethylallyloxy)phenyl]ethyl cinnamide. Aegline, imperatorin, alloimperatorin and xanthotoxol were also present. © 1981.
