Abstract

—A new indole alkaloid, pendolmycin {1}, was isolated from NocardioPsis strain SA1715 as an inhibitor of epidermal-growth-factor-induced phosphatidylinositol turn-over in A431 cells. The structure of pendolmycin is closely related to that of teleocidin B {2} and of lyngbyatoxin A [3]. Pendolmycin may be a biosynthetic intermediate of these alkaloids. © 1988, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
