Abstract

A new alkaloid, O-methylmaritidine, from Narcissus tazetta L. (Amaryllidaceae) has been assigned the structure (I) on the basis of the close correspondences of infrared, nuclear magnetic resonance, optical rotatory dispersion, ultra violet, and mass spectra to those of alkaloids of known structures. © 1981, The Pharmaceutical Society of Japan.
