Abstract

The first sulfur-containing indole-monoterpene alkaloid, pagisulfine (1) has been isolated from the stem bark of Pagiantha cerifera (Pancher et Sébert) Markgraf. Its structure has been determined by spectroscopic studies. Its absolute stereochemistry has been established by its synthesis, using vobasine as starting material. © 1986.
