Abstract
Four new ceramide lactosides, luidialactoside A (1), B (3), C (4), and D (5) were isolated from the water‐insoluble lipid fraction of the CHCl3/MeOH extract of the starfish Luidia maculata. The structures of these ceramide lactosides were determined on the basis of chemical and spectroscopic evidence. (© Wiley‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, 69451 Weinheim, Germany, 2003)
