Abstract

<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title> <jats:p>A new glycosphingolipid, named coralipid, has been isolated from a red alga and its structure has been determined to be (6E,15′Z,2S,3S,4R,2′R)-N-(2′-hydroxy-15′-tetracosenoyl)-1-O-β-galactosyl-2-amino-6-octadecene-1,3,4-triol on the basis of spectral and chemical means.
