<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>Nine <jats:italic>Daphniphyllum</jats:italic> alkaloids, including three new ones, paxiphyllines C–E (<jats:bold>1</jats:bold>–<jats:bold>3</jats:bold>, resp.), were isolated from the twigs and the leaves of <jats:italic>Daphniphyllum paxianum.</jats:italic> Paxiphylline C (<jats:bold>1</jats:bold>) represents the first example of <jats:italic>Daphniphyllum</jats:italic> alkaloids with a carbonyldioxy group. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic data.
