Abstract

The structures of two acylated betacyanins, lampranthin II from petals of Lampranthus peersii and L. sociorum and celostanin II from cell suspension cultures of Chenopodium rubrum, were elucidated as betanidin 5-O-[6'-O-(E)-feruloyl-β-glucoside] and betanidin 5-O-[2''-O-(E)-feruloyl-β-(1'',2')-glucuronosyl-β-glucoside].
