<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>The glycosphingolipid (GSL) composition of the starfish <jats:italic>Pentaceraster regulus</jats:italic> has been studied. The structure of the major component, a new cerebroside named Reguloside A (<jats:bold>1</jats:bold>) and two minor homologues, Regulosides B (<jats:bold>1a</jats:bold>) and C (<jats:bold>1b</jats:bold>), are described.
