Two stereoisomers of β-hydroxy-γ-methyl-glutamic acid from seeds of gymnocladus dioicus

Abstract
Two new amino acids have been isolated from seeds of the legume Gymnocladus dioicus. These amino acids are stereoisomeric forms of β-hydroxy-γ-methylglutamic acid. The presence of other 'nonprotein' amino acids in the plant is reported.
