Abstract

Seven new labdane-type glucosides with antibacterial activity have been isolated from Viburnum suspensum. Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods. We have previously reported on the isolation and structural elucidation of 10 new labdane diglycosides, gomojosides A-J, from the methanolic extract of the leaves of Viburnum suspensum [1]. Further investigation on the less polar fractions of the methanolic extract has allowed the isolation of seven new labdane monoglycosides, gomojosides K(1)-Q(7). In this report, we describe the isolation and characterization of the new diterpenoids.
