Seven alkaloids have been isolated from bulbs of Narcissus cv. Salome. 2 alpha-Hydroxy-6-O-methyloduline is reported here for the first time; its structure and stereochemistry were established by physical and spectroscopic methods. H-1 and C-13 NMR spectra of vasconine and hippeastrine were completely assigned by means of two-dimensional NMR techniques. Copyright (C) 1996 Elsevier Science Ltd
