Abstract

The kinos of Eucalyptus astringens. E. lehmantrii and E. platypus contain mainly polymerized leucocyanidin, appreciable amounts of dihydrokaempferol3-rhamnoside and trace amounts of other components. The acid degradation products of different kinos contained components not present in the products from wood and bark. These include phloroglucinol and two other components whose properties are described.
