Abstract

The alkaloids of the most common Egyptian Salsola species were studied. Four bases were isolated from S. tetrandra: a major constituent, triacetonamine and two other minor bases as well as betaine. TLC showed that the same compounds were present in S. kali, S. longifolia and S. rigida. © 1971.
