Abstract

A new aporphine alkaloid, laurodionine (1), was isolated from the stems of Phoebe formosana, along with p-hydroxybenzaldehyde, vanillin, (E)-gadain, helioxanthin, N-formyldehydroannonaine, and N-formylannonaine. The structure of 1 was characterized as N-6/C-7 oxalylfused dehydrolaurolitsine by spectral analysis.
