Two new furostanol glycosides trigofoenosides A and D have been isolated from the Trigonella foenumgraecum seeds as their methyl ethers, A-l and D-l. Their structures have been determined as (2X)-22-U-methyl-furost-5-ene-3/.?,26_diol, 3-O-a-L-rhamnopyranosyl (1 + 2)+Wglucopyranoside; 260-/Y-D-glucopyranoside (A-l) and (25S)- 22-O-methyl-furost-S-ene-3&26-dial, 3-0-a-L-rhamnopyranosyl (1 + 2)-[/I-Dglucopyranosyl (1 + 3)]-@glucopyranoside; 26-O+Dglucopyranoside (D-l).
