From the seeds of Camptotheca acuminata, a new indole alkaloid 19-O-methylangustoline was isolated, and its 1H and 13C NMR spectra assigned unambiguously through the use of NOE, APT, HETCOR, CSCM ID and selective INEPT NMR spectroscopy. The alkaloid was cytotoxic in the P-388 test system. © 1990.
