Abstract

Three new monoterpenoid indole alkaloids, gelsevietmines-A, B, C (1–3), were isolated from Gelsemium elegans seeds collected in Vietnam. Their unique and highly oxidized structures were determined by spectroscopic analyses and chemical means including the asymmetric total synthesis of gelsevietmine-A (1). © 2021 Elsevier Ltd
