A new aporphine alkaloid, amocurine F (1), along with five known compounds (2-6), was isolated from the leaves of Amoora cucullata. Their structures were elucidated using spectroscopic methods, including extensive 1D and 2D NMR techniques. All the isolated compounds were evaluated for antimalarial activity against Plasmodium falciparum. Compounds 1 and 2 exhibited the most potent activity against the K1 strain, with IC50 values of 1.84 and 3.52 mu M, respectively.
