Abstract

From the aboveground part of V. erecta gathered in the Shargun' settlement in the Surkhan-Darya region 1% of total alkaloids was isolated, and in the separation of these the bases vincanidine and a new phenolic base vinervine (C20H22O3N2) were obtained. Vinervine is an alkaloid of the 2-methyleneindoline group. © 1966 Consultants Bureau.
