Abstract

Aspidospermine, a new type of indole alkaloid, was degraded to 3,5-diethylpyridine and an alkyl indole. The former and 2,4-dimethyl-3-ethylpyridine were synthesized in the course of this investigation. © 1948, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
