Abstract

Four closely related alkaloids have been isolated from Cacalia floridana. These include the known pyrrolizidine- derived base, otosenine, and three new alkaloids, named fiorosenine, floricaline, and floridanine. Structures for the new alkaloids are proposed on the basis of chemical interconversions and spectral evidence. © 1968, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
