Two new alkaloids, have been isolated from the leaves of Buxus papilosa which are the first members of a new group of pentacyclic natural products bearing both a tetrahvdro-oxazine ring and a 9(10—>19) abeo-diene system. The alkaloids, named “moenjodaramine” and “harapp- amine”, have been assigned structures (1) and (2) respectively on the basis of spectroscopic studies. © 1984, IEEE. All rights reserved.
