<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>A new <jats:italic>N</jats:italic>‐fatty acyl tryptamine, cheritamine (<jats:bold>30</jats:bold>), along with thirty‐two compounds including nineteen benzenoids, <jats:italic>p</jats:italic>‐hydroxybenzadehyde (<jats:bold>1</jats:bold>), <jats:italic>p</jats:italic>‐hydroxybenzoic acid (<jats:bold>2</jats:bold>), methylparabene (<jats:bold>3</jats:bold>), 3‐chlorobenzoic acid (<jats:bold>4</jats:bold>), vanillin (<jats:bold>5</jats:bold>), isovanillin (<jats:bold>6</jats:bold>), vanillic acid (<jats:bold>7</jats:bold>), isovanillic acid (<jats:bold>8</jats:bold>), methyl vanillate (<jats:bold>9</jats:bold>), methyl isovanillate (<jats:bold>10</jats:bold>), syringaldehyde (<jats:bold>11</jats:bold>), syringic acid (<jats:bold>12</jats:bold>), 3,4,5‐trimethoxybenzoic acid (<jats:bold>13</jats:bold>), <jats:italic>trans</jats:italic>‐methyl <jats:italic>p</jats:italic>‐coumarate (<jats:bold>14</jats:bold>), ferulic acid (<jats:bold>15</jats:bold>), <jats:italic>p</jats:italic>‐dihydrocoumaric acid (<jats:bold>16</jats:bold>), 3‐(4‐hydroxy‐3,5‐dimethoxyphenyl)‐1,2‐propanediol (<jats:bold>17</jats:bold>), <jats:bold>3,4,5</jats:bold>‐trimethoxyphenyl‐β‐D‐glucopyranoside (<jats:bold>18</jats:bold>) and thalictoside (<jats:bold>19</jats:bold>); one <jats:italic>p</jats:italic>‐quinone, 2,6‐dimethoxy‐<jats:italic>p</jats:italic>‐quinone (<jats:bold>20</jats:bold>); one purine, uridine (<jats:bold>21</jats:bold>); eight alkaloids, nicotinic acid (<jats:bold>22</jats:bold>), thalifoline (<jats:bold>23</jats:bold>), doryphornine (<jats:bold>24</jats:bold>), (–)‐norstephalagine (<jats:bold>25</jats:bold>), (‐)‐romucosine (<jats:bold>26</jats:bold>), (+)‐pronuciferine (<jats:bold>27</jats:bold>), (+)‐norisocorydine (<jats:bold>28</jats:bold>) and oxoasimilobine (29) and three steroids, β‐sitosterol‐D‐glucoside (<jats:bold>31</jats:bold>), stigmasterol‐D‐glucoside (<jats:bold>32</jats:bold>) and 6′‐(β‐sitosteryl‐3‐<jats:italic>O</jats:italic>‐β‐glucopyranosidyl)hexadecanoate (<jats:bold>33</jats:bold>), are isolated from the stems of <jats:italic>Annona cherimola.</jats:italic> These compounds were characterized and identified by physical and spectral evidence.
