Dihydroxy acidissiminol, a new tyramine derivative, was isolated from the methanol extract of defatted fruits of Limonia acidissima. The structure of the compound was determined as benzamide-N-{p-[(3,7-dimethyl-4,6,7-trihydroxy-2-octenyl)oxy] phenethyl} based on spectroscopic evidence. Two other tyramine derivatives isolated from the same source were identified as acidissiminol epoxide (benzamide-N-{p-[(3,7-dimethyl-6,7-epoxy-2-octenyl)oxy] phenethyl}) and N-benzoyl tyramine. Although acidissiminol epoxide is a known synthetic compound, this is the first identification of it as a natural product. The ¹H and ¹³C NMR spectra of all compounds were completely assigned.
