Abstract

The alkaloidal content of the barks and leaves of Enan t ia p oly ca rp a, Annonaceae, has been studied and compared to that of other Enantia. Main alkaloids are protoberberines, tetrahydroprotoberberines and aporphinoids (quaternary aporphines, aporphines, nor-aporphines, 0x0-aporphines). An isoquinolone, corydaldine, and a new alkaloid, polycarpine, have been isolated.
