Four new homoerythrinane alkaloids have been isolated from the leaves of Phelline species. Robustidine 7, robustimine 8, O-methylrobustimine 9 and robusticine 11 have been characterised using spectroscopic data; the structure of the alkaloid 11 has been confirmed by chemical correlation. © 1990.
