Sesquiterpene alkaloids from Tripterigium wilfordii

Abstract
An acetone extract of the dried root bark of Tripterigium wilfordii afforded four sesquiterpene alkaloids, including two new compounds, named triptonines A and B. Their structures were established on the basis of chemical and spectroscopic studies.
